The AGJ branch believes that EDUCATION is the GATEWAY to economic security.

As a Branch, we

    • Present scholarships to local middle school, high school and Fulton-Montgomery Community College students
    • Contribute to community causes
    • Encourage girls to participate in math, science, and technology conferences
    • Provide programs for girls
    • Disseminate information on National, State, and local issues in a monthly newsletter
    • Support the AAUW Education Opportunity Fund
    • Support the AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund
    • Collaborate to sponsor a bi-annual women’s symposium
    • Are a part of the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Consortium

As Members, we participate in a variety of events:

    • Monthly meetings
    • Holiday events
    • Annual meeting and installation of officers
    • Biennial auction to benefit Education Foundation and our local scholarships
    • End of year picnic
    • Interaction with sister organizations
    • Community Outreach programs
    • Support of libraries to encourage lifelong learning
    • Membership recruitment events
    • Local AAUW District 4 Conference
    • NY State AAUW Convention
    • AAUW Biennial National Convention
